Vulture Track - RFID Vulture Tracking

Vulture Track is our new (in development) vulture RFID tracking system. We are working in cooperation with a vulture conservancy in Magaliesburg, South Africa to develop a RFID vulture tracking system to keep tabs on Vultures and their movements.

The system comprises hardware (Active Tags, Active Tag Readers, Solar Panels, GSM / GPRS data, etc), as well as a central database and web application. The web application resides on its own domain at www.vulturetrack.com and is a multi-user application, meaning it is built to accommodate multiple, distinct conservation organisations. At a future date, different conservations will have the ability to opt into a data share where data can be shared among the different groups for collaboration.

Vulture track is also a "template" conservation platform meaning it is easily adaptable to RFID tracking of other types of wildlife, including domestic animals like cattle, sheep and the like.
